Spine Surgery

Areas of treatment

Back surgery can be used to treat certain lumbar and cervical conditions, including herniated discs, lumbar or cervical spinal stenosis, pain related to osteoarthritis, certain fractures, and some tumor-related conditions.

Surgical techniques

  • Minimally invasive and percutaneous surgery

    • This approach allows access to the spine through small incisions, while preserving the surrounding muscle tissue as much as possible. It may help reduce post-operative pain and promote faster recovery.
  • Endoscopic surgery

    • Endoscopic surgery uses a camera to visualize the procedure on a screen. It is particularly used for certain herniated discs and decompression procedures in cases of lumbar spinal stenosis.
  • Cervical spine surgery

    • Cervical spine surgery focuses on conditions affecting the neck, including degenerative, traumatic, or tumor-related conditions. Depending on the case, it may involve decompression, spinal fusion, or disc replacement procedures.
  • Degenerative lumbar spine surgery

    • This treatment focuses on lower back pain and walking difficulties related to wear and tear of the spine. The surgical approach may involve releasing compressed nerves and, in some cases, stabilizing the spine with implants.
